Goodbye My Mentor.
You told me something
A while back now.
As i rested my eyes
And uncreased my brow.
My worries drained,
My nightmares shattered.
As your voice travelled through me
Nothing else mattered.
"Some things are hard
Hard to find,
Oh well, whatever,
Never mind."
I loved those words,
They taught me the way.
To live my life,
And have my own say.
The way you left us,
I'm still confused.
We all felt dirty,
Cheap and used.
But then we forgave.
We read your resignation.
Yu were leaving your life,
For an unknown destination.
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away.
Thank you Mentor,
For showing me the way.
Your lyrics imprinted
Upon my brain.
You left your mark,
And kept me sane.
Yur wife merely helped you
To complete your journey
To the end of your pain
And the hatred burning.
You injected yourself,
And who can blame you?
Turning away from the world in pain,
And the hurt in my eyes too.
My life had changed,
And this time for me.
You helped me change
To what I wanted to be.
If looking leads
To too much pain,
Step out, relax,
Give up the game.
Don't stress yourself
Over fruitless tasks.
Remove this restraining,
Restricive mask.
This mask of our stereo-typical world,
Does nobody any good.
Stop striving for the impossible,
Pull off the suffocating hood.
"some things are ard
Hard to find,
Oh well, whatever,
Never mind."
It's better to burn out
Than to fade away.
Thank you Mentor,
For showing me the way. |

I See.
I see your feet,
They're stamping on me.
I see you're fists,
They're pounding on me.
I See.
I see my life
Is a shambles now,
I see my world
Come crumbling down.
(Around me.)
The foundations
Damp and sagging,
Still your words
They keep on banging.
I See.
I see your face
Distorted with rage,
I see my life
Turn another page.
I See.
I see it's written
The same as before,
I see the mark
Of blood on the floor.
(Around me.)
I see your feet, they're stamping on me.
I see your fists, they're pounding on me.
I see.
I see my life is a shambles now.
I see my world come crumbling down.
(Around me.) |

Lifeless.
The silence hurts my ears,
The lack of sound is deafening.
Please somebody help,
My personal hell is beckoning.
Walking along this lifeless street,
Staring into lifeless faces.
Leavig a lifelless nowhere,
Heading to lifeless places.
Loving lifeless people,
Hating lifeless enemies.
Giving to lifeless causes,
And hating this lifeless me.
If you took the time to listen,
You might hear my lifeless cries.
And if you took the time to look,
You might catch my lifeless eye. |
